Sunanda Das has done M.F.A. (Dept. of Sculpture) from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan in 1991.He has participated in a number of exhibitions as Joint Exhibition at Academy of Fine Arts in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007, Kolkata, Biswa Banga Sammelan in 1999 ? 2000 at Kolkata, AIFACS State Level in 2002 at Kolkata, Joint Exhibition at Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi in 2003, Open Air Sculpture Exhibition at Calcutta Information Centre in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Participated in ?Glimpses of Modern Sculptures of Bengal? at Aakriti Art Gallery at Kolkata in 2007,Participated in the Exhibition of Sculpture at Stainless Gallery, New Delhi in 2008, Participated in the Exhibition of Gallery Upstairs in 2008 at Kolkata, Joint Exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2008. He has also received a number of awards like Scheme of Scholarship to Young Workers 1989 from Govt. of India, Brahmi Kala Puraskar 1991 from Vichar Manch, Kolkata, Paschim Banga Rajya Charukala Pradarshani Award in 1994, and AIFACS State Level in 2002 at Kolkata.
