Partha did his BVA. from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata and MFA from Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan and U G C net Lecturership. He got Birla Academy Award twice ? in 2000 for Best Drawing and in 2008 for Best Painting. He was also awarded by his Alma Mater- Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. He taught at Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, Sriniketan, Visva Bharati University, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Centre for Archaeological Studies and Training, Eastern India.
